 "Understanding Children's Grief"

Saturday, November 6, 2010, beginning 9:30 am, at First Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa.
This free program is designed to offer assistance to parents and other adult caregivers of grieving children and teens. Assisting parents with appropriate language, developmental factors, and identifying social and emotional implications of grief. We would like to help parents, to better understand what their children may be going through and provide you with the support and resources that suit your specific situation.  Community Memorial Service

Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington, Iowa.
Service begins at 4:00pm.

 Memorial Tree

On display from November 26, 2010 until after the new year at the Washington Public Library, in Washington, Iowa.
Families are encouraged to donate an ornament in their loved one's honor to be displayed on the tree each year.

Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Sunset Park in Washington, Iowa.
Registration begins at 8:00 am; Walk/Run starts at 9:00 am.
Families wishing to honor their loved one may submit a photo and a brief personal note to be displayed along the Memorial path.
